Carin Blatteis, LCSW
Carin graduated from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service in 1994. Since then, Carin has spent her professional career developing and nurturing her passion for helping teens and their families using an integrative approach to therapy. In 2019 Carin was trained and certified in Martin Bohus’ three-day DBT for PTSD , extending her knowledge in the evidence-based treatment of co-occurring complex PTSD, identifying trauma-related perceptions, and employing a newly adapted concept of compassionate mindfulness and strategies. Carin was trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech, LLC while working at Princeton Center for DBT, running DBT groups for teens at GenPsych, Bridgewater and providing intensive in-home family counseling. Carin has also completed Behavioral Tech’s five-day Foundational Training and DBT for Multi-problem Adolescents, Alan Fruzzetti’s Parent Skills and Education Training and has a certification in Child and Adolescent Mental Health through Rutgers University. Carin became certified as a Nutritional Health Coach in 2013 and as a Yoga instructor in 2015 and is excited to share her deep commitment to the powerful connection between mind and body. Through her compassionate and collaborative style, Carin is dedicated to helping adolescents and their families resolve conflicts and improve their relationships.
